European Blu Flag 2008 City of Castellabate
Last year the area of National Park of Cilento was awarded several blu flags by the FEE (Foundation Environmental Education) among them Castellabate (Punta Licosa beach), Pisciotta, Palinuro, Sapri, Acciaroli e Pioppi di Pollica, Ascea.

Santa Maria of Castellabate is one of the most striking places of Cilento’s coast, since 1998 is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and has obtained for the last few years the Blu flag recognition for its clearness waters.

For those who wish to move a little bit farther off (1-2 hrs) they may visit the most breathtaking places of the Amalfi coast, such as: Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Ravello, Vietri sul Mare, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, Furore, Praiano, Erchie and also the well-known isles of Capri and Ischia which can be reached by sea in two hours from the harbour of Agropoli.
